World Precision Instrument Mouse Ear Bars, Non-Rupture and Rubber Tips for 505200 Series
Using model organisms with soft skulls, such as the mouse and the neonatal rat, are difficult to secure firmly in a traditional stereotaxic instrument. The Mouse/Neonatal Rat Adaptor is designed for use with the traditional 'U' frame Stereotaxic instrument. The adaptor employs light, Delrin Ear Bars with tapered points on one end, and rubber tips on the other, to facilitate surgery on mice and rat pups.

World Precision Instrument Castroviejo Needle Holder with Lock, 14cm, Straight, Smooth Tips
Castroviejo Needle Holders are a surgical instrument used for microsurgery requiring precise control and manipulation of small needles, though they are most commonly used in ophthalmic surgery. Our Castroviejo Needle Holders feature fine tips for grasping and manipulation of small, delicate needles. The jaws can either be serrated (cross-hatched) or smooth. Serrated jaws help prevent slippage and ensures a secure grip on the needle, though this may not always be required. With fragile tissues, a serrated tip may cause excessive trauma or damage to the tissue, and a smooth tip may be preferred. Some synthetic sutures, such as polypropylene or PTFE, are less prone to slipping than natural sutures and may not require a serrated tip. If a surgeon is approximating a delicate tissue layer, a smooth tip may be chosen. The locking mechanism on the spring handles ensures the needle is held firmly and reduces the risk of slipping.

WPI Bone Cutters have short, thick scissor-style blades, which are designed to efficiently cut through bone tissue. Unlike typical scissor blades, these forceps have a more robust, heavier structure to enable effective cutting and shaping of bone during surgical procedures. The ring handles offer a comfortable grip for the surgeon and provide precise control during bone-cutting procedures. These are 10.5 cm (4.13”) long and are available with curved or straight blades, and smooth or serrated tips. The are made of surgical grade stainless steel, which is suitable for chemical sterilization or autoclaving. Clean your surgical instruments promptly after use to ensure a long life.

The A385 is an optically isolated current source, which can generate up to 100 mA of unipolar or biphasic constant current pulses or DC. Pulse duration is controlled manually or by an external 5V command. Output current amplitude is determined by a 3-digit 10-turn potentiometer. Maximum output voltage between the stimulating electrodes is +36V.

World Precision Instrument Replacement Plastic Block
Standard Probe Holders include an 11mm square acrylic block connected to our standard 19.5cm standard shaft (6mm diameter) with grooves spaced 1 mm apart. The grooves (on three sides) facilitate loading of probes.
The Standard Probe Holder-Corner Clamp (505249) holds shafts from 0.2 to 2.0 mm. The Standard Probe Holder - Side Clamp (505250) holds probes from 0.2 to 4.5 mm, as does the Electrode Holder, 'C' Clamp (505252). The "C" clamp is also useful to release implanted probes.
The Standard Probe Holder-Corner Clamp (505249) is included with each WPI Rat Stereotaxic Instruments has an 19.5cm shaft with 11mm square acrylic block.
